New Aerospace Museum coming soon in New Delhi

India’s rich aviation history will soon be showcased in an aerospace museum that will be built by the Indian Air Force in New Delhi, very close to the IGI airport. The proposed 43 acre museum would be a major tourist attraction having extensive indoor and outdoor displays of aircrafts, with huge aircraft parked and in flying attitude with murals depicting the golden era. There would also be a kids section where kids could enter cockpits of displayed aircrafts and get the feel of flying it.

Air India to fly Delhi – Madrid from Dec

Ashwani Lohani, MD, Air India revealed AI’s direct New Delhi to Madrid flight launch from either Dec end or first week of Jan, during the recent IATO Convention in Chennai. The national carrier’s direct New Delhi to San Francisco flight was introduced last December, following which two other international destinations – Delhi-Austria and Ahmedabad-London-New York – were connected by the airline.

Bangaram in Lakshadweep to welcome tourists again from Oct 14

Bangaram island resort which was the flagship of Lakshadweep Tourism till 2010 and was subsequently closed for the past couple of years due to differences between the administration and tourism operators, will again be re – opened to welcome tourists. The announcement came from The Union Territory of Lakshadweep. “The highlight for 2016-17 for Lakshadweep is re-launching of Bangaram island resort”, remarked A.M. Hussain, Assistant Director (Tourism), Department of Tourism, Union Territory of Lakshadweep.
